Welcome to healthactionday.org.uk

It is likely that if you have become inactive, you dislike exercise - but that is probably because you are still having nightmares about P.E sessions when you were at school!

Most people would like to live a healthy lifestyle, eat healthy food, enjoy taking part in physical activity, keep to a healthy weight and enjoy life to the full. For some people it is not as easy as it sounds. What activities will they like? How do they go about finding an activity that they will enjoy? How can they afford to eat healthy food on a budget?

The answer to all these questions and many more can be found at the Health
Action Day event at the Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre on Saturday 13th February, 10.00am - 4.00pm

There will be over 50 stalls from health and sports organisations who will be offering advice and information including where to find a particular sport or activity, life changing advice on healthy lifestyles and medical advice from professionals. Throughout the day there will be presentations on a variety of medical conditions and Visitors will have a chance of joining in with active sessions they will also be treated to demonstrations from a selection of activities held in StevenageHealth ActionDay - 13th February 2009.

There will be an organised cycle ride from the Stevenage Arts and Leisure Centre to Fairlands lakes. You will need to bring your own bike to take part in this activity.
